“Mladejta Tvori” 2007 annual children’s folkdance contest

The annual folkdance contest for children’s amateur troupes for theatre and music and dance, took place on 28 November 2007. The contest was organized by the Permanent commission for children, youth, sports and tourism at the Sofia municipality council. 15 ensembles, representing different regions of the capital Sofia, subscribed for participation, but 12 competed for the awards:

“Lyulin” folklore ensemble at “Lyulin” Cultural Centre
Folklore group at 1st English High shool, region of Oborishte
“Zora” folklore ensemble at “P. Yavorov” Cultural club, region of Slatina
“Vihren” folklore ensemble, region of Krasna polyana
“Bogovitsa” folklore ensemble at “Sredets” Cultural club, region of Krasno selo
“Chinartche” folklore ensemble at “Hristo Botev” Cultural club, region of Pancharevo
“Lozenska mladost” juvenile folklore ensemble at “Pencho Slaveykov” Cultural club, region of Lozenets
“Vitoshanche” dance ensemble at 92nd secondary school, region of Krasna polyana
“Probuda” dance ensemble at “Probuda” Cultural club, region of Ovtcha Kupel
“Kremikovtsi” dance ensemble at “Svetlina” Cultural club, region of Kremikovtsi
“Zdravets” dance ensemble, region of Poduene
“Sofia-6” folklore dance ensemble at “Vitosha” Cultural club, Vitosha region
The jury awarded the following:
1st award to “Zdravets” dance ensemble, region of Poduene and “Sofia-6” folklore dance ensemble at “Vitosha” Cultural club, Vitosha region 2nd award to “Chinartche” folklore ensemble at “Hristo Botev” Cultural club, region of Pancharevo

Three more groups were awarded as an encouragement: “Lozenska mladost” juvenile folklore ensemble at “Pencho Slaveykov” Cultural club, region of Lozenets, “Vitoshanche” dance ensemble at 92nd secondary school, region of Krasna polyana, “Vihren” folklore ensemble, region of Krasna polyana.

On 01 December, the night of the gala concert, the awarded were announced.
